I go by Richiejazz — a name that captures exactly who I am: a technologist with a musician’s heart and a creative who thinks in systems. Based in Lagos, Nigeria, I exist at the intersection of two worlds that most people keep separate.
By day, I architect full-stack solutions — writing clean, scalable code that solves real problems for businesses and individuals. By evening, I let loose on the keys or the saxophone, performing jazz and soulful renditions that have moved audiences at events across the country.
What unites both disciplines is the same thing: deep listening, discipline, precision, and a relentless desire to create something that resonates. Whether I’m debugging an API or improvising a jazz standard, the goal is always the same — make it feel effortless.
I believe the skills of a musician and an engineer are more alike than they seem. Both require mastery of fundamentals, comfort with complexity, and the courage to improvise when the moment demands it.
When I’m not at my desk or on a stage, you’ll find me studying new frameworks, transcribing jazz solos, or somewhere in Lagos looking for the next great performance opportunity.
